The suit designed to cover up your good clothes and get to work! Roomy enough to have some layers underneath.
FIT & FEATURES
• Long front zip • Large bust pockets • 7 x leg pockets
FABRIC
Durable and classic, 100% Cotton Drill. We recommend an initial firm fit, as our cotton relaxes with wear. It ís similar to true denim, where the fibres soften the more you wear it.
SIZING
Remember: Short Body vs. Long Body refers to your torso length, not your leg inseam! The Yard Suit is a relaxed fit. If you're looking for a firm fit, we recommend sizing down. Compare your measurements to the Size Chart below to get the perfect fit.

• Front seams to shape to larger and smaller cup sizes • Large bust pockets, with curve to fit a bust comfortably
• 2 x side pockets, 2 x back patch pockets
• 3 x leg pockets
• Slightly wider leg fit
• A tailored waist fit , with a little more ease and an adjustable waist tab to synch the fit.
• Quality brass hardware
• Reinforced seams for longevity • Hardwearing 310 gsm Fairtrade cotton with a slightly brushed soft hand feel
Our Fabric
We make all our classic styles from a heavy duty 310 gsm 100% Fairtrade cotton drill, with a lightly brushed finished. This means it’s heavy duty, breathable and soft to the touch.
As this is natural material, this fabric does have its limitations: like most 100% cottons, with constant wear, tear and laundering, the cotton can weaken over time. So whilst our styles are designed for long term, day to day use, if you are kneeling on abrasive surfaces regularly, we suggest investing in some knee pads to avoid rips and holes.
Sizing Tips
The Yard Suit is a generous fit compared to other SÜK styles.
Please note all sizing is based on Standard Australian dress sizing, these are not inches! Please check our size chart for more details.
We’ve designed this guide to make choosing your size as simple and accurate as possible, based on both our measurements and real customer fittings.
Our sizing follows Australian numerical sizing. As there’s no universal standard across brands, your size may vary elsewhere. This guide is the best way to find your fit in SÜK.
Find Your Size
1. Measure your body
Bust – measure around the fullest part of your chest. Keep the tape measure firm and straight, wrap it under your arms and across your shoulder blades.
Waist – measure around your natural waistline, the narrowest part of your torso that sits above your hips, where you would like the waistline of your new gear to sit.
Hips - measure the fullest part of your hips and bum.
2. Use your largest measurement
Match your measurements to the chart below using your largest measurement (this is usually your hips).
This ensures the garment fits comfortably across your body.
3. Consider how you like your fit & adjust for your body
Prefer a firm fit? You can size down
Prefer a relaxed fit? Size Up
Between sizes? Most customers choose the larger size for comfort and the ability to cinch the waist using the adjusters
Important: Where you wear your waistband
All our styles are designed to sit high on the waist (except our Mid-Rise Cargo Pants).
Wear them high-waisted → stay true to size or size down
Wear them mid or low rise → consider sizing up or measure where you would like them to sit and compare this measurement to the waist measurement in the chart
All our garments have waist adjusters, allowing the waist to be brought in by up to 10cm.
Real Fit Insights
From our in-store fittings and customer feedback:
Looking for a firm fit? You can size down in our Cotton Drill. This is because the fabric will relax with wear
In-between sizes? Most customers size up when between sizes for comfort, and the waist can be cinched in for a great fit.
Your height and torso length matter: taller customers may prefer more room through the rise and size up

Body Length for Suits (Short vs Long)
Some suits are available in short body and long body options. This refers to your torso length, not your height or inseam length.
If you usually get a wedgie in a jumpsuit, get the LONG BODY
Never had this issue before, get the SHORT BODY
Generally, if you are taller than 180cm, we recommend the Brumby or Roper suits with adjustable straps for extra torso length, and double-check the inseam length will work for you.
The SÜK team says: “Our staff like to size down from their pants sizing for a snug fit in our Brumby, Lagoon and Yard suits. Our Roper and Ringer suits are already fitted and true to size”
Garment Measurements
We provide individual garment measurements on every single one of our items! If you're someone who loves that extra detail, please have a read on the specific garment page. We also try to display the size each model is wearing and their measurements to help you.
These measurements are taken from the flattened physical garment, and then doubled to achieve an accurate measurement. Each chart is specific to each individual style. There is a variation of 1-2cm per garment, as our styles are prewashed and pre-shrunk before we send them to you.
You can use the garment measurements and measure an existing comfy item of clothing and compare it to our chart.
Fabric Notes
Drill: Durable and classic. We recommend an initial firm fit, as our cotton relaxes with wear. It’s similar to true denim, where the fibres soften the more you wear it. Washing will help bring it back to its original firmness.
Denim: Our denim offers the most reliable, true-to-size fit. It has a natural give that conforms to your body over time while maintaining its shape. If you are buying Denim, order your standard size.
Canvas: Built for heavy-duty protection, our Canvas is a thick, highly rigid material with zero stretch. It requires a break-in period. Fit Tip: If you need more room for bending and moving, or if you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up.
Ripstop: Lightweight but incredibly tough, Ripstop is a zero-stretch fabric. Because it does not yield around the hips or waist, we strongly recommend sizing up if you are between sizes or prefer a looser, more comfortable fit for active work.
Measuring Tips
Measure in your underwear where possible Keep the tape firm but not tight Ensure the tape sits flat
Style Note
All our pants are designed to be worn higher on your waist, no plumbers’ crack here. Wearing them lower on your hips may change how the size feels. Remember, the waist is adjustable on all our garments.

These are absolutely my most fave in the full suits and the cropped suits. I size down to a 16 for these as they are extra roomy. They are so easy to put on with the zip. Love love love. They are the most comfortable with the nice wide leg, i need to move lots of boxes and coffee machines around and the lovely hard wearing material is awesome and being cotton these are warmy coolies they keep you warm when its cold and cool when its hot. The level of spruiking I do for these overalls is next level so many people love how good they look. About to get the other colours when my size is back in stock. The team at Suk actually care about their clothes too. They have made me a lifelong advocate now because their clothes are so comfy and good looking.
This is my 3rd one. I have it in dark green, maroon & now blue. I’m constantly getting stopped by women of all ages & sizes who compliment it. I always turn & show the SUK patch so they can get their own. I would love to see & purchase in mustard & burnt orange. They would be awesome in the fall. Keri
Fits like it’s made for me. I also have a pair of the mid-rise cargo pants and I had to size down in the yard suit.
Love love love perfect for a day on the range
After putting the Yard Suit on and looking in the mirror, I was shocked at how such a functional piece could also look so good. I bought it to wear while doing pottery and home improvement stuff but now I want to wear it out! It is so flattering and makes me feel strong and beautiful- something I haven’t felt for a long time.
I love my Suk gear - I wear on weekends in the garden or when I go out bush for camping - but I also just love wearing because it’s so comfortable!🥰 Thank you Suk sisters xx
I live in Darwin and was worried it would be too hot. I wore it for 5 hours outside and it was really comfortable. It’s baggy enough to move freely and allow good air circulation without being annoying. Love it.
The zipper is the best idea, the armholes are the perfect width, the measurements are just right, I can wear this to either job and it just *works*...I could go on, but I'll just sum up by this has to be my favorite thing I've bought from SUK yet!
I love this suit so much. I had to size down for a more fitted look, but I love my other black one I have as a baggie fit too ! Great fabric and detail.
Comfortable on with all the pockets I could need. Great fit for winter layering, I like the loose fit in the trousers. A bit of a wiggle and jiggle to get off - but I've got a technique now. Fine fit adjustments for me would be to narrow the shoulder and add some ease in the front arm but those wouldn't stop me from buying the style again . Thanks SUK.
I just got it, and it's just a tiny bit tight across the back-- but otherwise it's perfect! I have been wearing it in the yard and on hikes, and it's exactly what I was hoping for. I wanted something that wouldn't ride up or down, that would give enough room in the legs for me to bend and move around, It's perfect for that! I am interested to see how it wears as I get into weed eating where I will get super sweaty and hot.
This jumpsuit is perfect for the motorcycle! I can throw it on quickly whenever it's time to go for a ride - I can hold so much in my pockets and get to things easily while on the go
Pros:
Fast Shipping
Great Service
GORGEOUS, SOFT COMFORTABLE FABRIC
Chic enough to wear around after a morning of gardening!
Con:
There's only one, and it's barely a con.... The legs are long. I have to hem them 2-4 inches. That is most pants I buy these days!
I LOVE this suit! I purchased it for gardening and just generally working in the yard. I purchased the 8 long for a bit more room in the “reach” position & im glad I did. At 5’3 I’ll need to hem the legs but the torso is just right. As a standard size 8 this is a bit on the loose side, but, it allows me to layer up in winter, and the adjustable waist strap keeps me tidy without restricting movement. The fabric is tough and soft, the colour is great, the cut is perfect for working. Very very pleased, will definitely be returning & recommending!!
I was debating the short vs long body and went with short body. I’m an 8 in the shorts but 168cm tall. My measurements were just at the cross over of short and long body. It fits well and I’m glad I got the short because it hugs the bottom nicely but sitting down needs a bit of navigating with the inseam if you get my drift! Day two the material relaxes a bit and fits like a glove. Love, love, love this jumpsuit and basically haven't taken it off since! Suk truly has revolutionised women’s pants and I never want to wear anything else. Please never stop making high-wasted, regardless of the ‘fashion’. High-wasted for ever xx
I love how comfortable these suits are for whatever circumstances I find myself. I will say they are a little tricky to get off quick for a pee break though 😆
I am 156cm tall and I ordered the size 10 after measuring myself. I should probably have sent them back and got a smaller size but the strap at the back meant I could adjust them well enough to wear and I love that there was so much room in them (probably a bit too much). I Will definitely go down at least one size for my next pair and I will definitely buy another pair. I live them.
I LOVE this outfit. Super practical, it fit's perfectly and I just love the breast pockets, I can bend over with my glasses in my pocket and there's no risk of losing them! I am usually a 12, but after reading the measurements, I went a 10 long and I'm very happy with the fit. My shoulders are maybe the tiniest bit tight, but I'm happy with that, better than being to big everywhere else. The pockets are durable and practicle and I am disappointed when I have to put it in the wash and wear something else to work. I'm still in the honeymoon stage though. I'll just have to get another one.
I love these!! I wear a size 16, ordered an 18 because they were out of stock on 16. Definitely runs true to size, 16 would be better, but 18 has extra room and there’s still the strap ton tighten in the low back so they don’t feel too big. I am 5’5” and maybe on the edge of needing the long body- these ride up when sitting down a bit. I would also prefer a tapered pant leg, I’ll probably do that myself, pretty wide pant legs. All in all I love them and plan to wear them all the time.
I guess for a short person I have a really long torso. I ended up exchanging it for an 8 long torso and it fit like a glove. I honestly love it. This workwear doesn’t “SUK”!
Bought this for my daughter who is a scenic painter. Eventually it will have paint all over it! She loves it so much and wants another one to wear for pleasure and fun!
Love all my three Suk suits, 1st this gorgeous burgundy yard suit, I’d live in them if i could. A short black roper suit and an oversized pink apron. Id buy more if i could. 🙏🥰
