We’ve designed this guide to make choosing your size as simple and accurate as possible, based on both our measurements and real customer fittings.
Our sizing follows Australian numerical sizing. As there’s no universal standard across brands, your size may vary elsewhere. This guide is the best way to find your fit in SÜK.
Find Your Size
1. Measure your body
Bust – measure around the fullest part of your chest. Keep the tape measure firm and straight, wrap it under your arms and across your shoulder blades.
Waist – measure around your natural waistline, the narrowest part of your torso that sits above your hips, where you would like the waistline of your new gear to sit.
Hips - measure the fullest part of your hips and bum.
2. Use your largest measurement
Match your measurements to the chart below using your largest measurement (this is usually your hips).
This ensures the garment fits comfortably across your body.
3. Consider how you like your fit & adjust for your body
- Prefer a firm fit? You can size down
- Prefer a relaxed fit? Size Up
- Between sizes? Most customers choose the larger size for comfort and the ability to cinch the waist using the adjusters
Important: Where you wear your waistband
All our styles are designed to sit high on the waist (except our Mid-Rise Cargo Pants).
Wear them high-waisted → stay true to size or size down
Wear them mid or low rise → consider sizing up or measure where you would like them to sit and compare this measurement to the waist measurement in the chart
All our garments have waist adjusters, allowing the waist to be brought in by up to 10cm.

- Looking for a firm fit? You can size down in our Cotton Drill. This is because the fabric will relax with wear
- In-between sizes? Most customers size up when between sizes for comfort, and the waist can be cinched in for a great fit.
- Your height and torso length matter: taller customers may prefer more room through the rise and size up

Body Length for Suits (Short vs Long)
Some suits are available in short body and long body options. This refers to your torso length, not your height or inseam length.
If you usually get a wedgie in a jumpsuit, get the LONG BODY
Never had this issue before, get the SHORT BODY
Generally, if you are taller than 180cm, we recommend the Brumby or Roper suits with adjustable straps for extra torso length, and double-check the inseam length will work for you.
The SÜK team says:
“Our staff like to size down from their pants sizing for a snug fit in our Brumby, Lagoon and Yard suits. Our Roper and Ringer suits are already fitted and true to size”
Garment Measurements
We provide individual garment measurements on every single one of our items! If you're someone who loves that extra detail, please have a read on the specific garment page.
We also try to display the size each model is wearing and their measurements to help you.
These measurements are taken from the flattened physical garment, and then doubled to achieve an accurate measurement. Each chart is specific to each individual style. There is a variation of 1-2cm per garment, as our styles are prewashed and pre-shrunk before we send them to you.
You can use the garment measurements and measure an existing comfy item of clothing and compare it to our chart.
Fabric Notes
Drill: Durable and classic. We recommend an initial firm fit, as our cotton relaxes with wear. It’s similar to true denim, where the fibres soften the more you wear it. Washing will help bring it back to its original firmness.
Denim: Our denim offers the most reliable, true-to-size fit. It has a natural give that conforms to your body over time while maintaining its shape. If you are buying Denim, order your standard size.
Canvas: Built for heavy-duty protection, our Canvas is a thick, highly rigid material with zero stretch. It requires a break-in period. Fit Tip: If you need more room for bending and moving, or if you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up.
Ripstop: Lightweight but incredibly tough, Ripstop is a zero-stretch fabric. Because it does not yield around the hips or waist, we strongly recommend sizing up if you are between sizes or prefer a looser, more comfortable fit for active work.

All our pants are designed to be worn higher on your waist, no plumbers’ crack here.
Wearing them lower on your hips may change how the size feels.

Been looking for this fit for so long! They are high rise, comfortable, and slightly adjustible. I always scroll through the reviews to see the size and body measurement of purchasers to see what would fit me best so - I ordered a size 10. I am about 130lbs and 5'4". About 27" waist and 40" hip. It can be super tricky to find pants and shorts that fit and you can move in (let alone sit down!). These are made to move, made to do work. Honestly, get them.
I took my time measuring myself before ordering, the waist measurement was the critical one and yay, I got it right with size 14! After wearing shorts that sit above the hips for so long, I've been pleased with how my new SUK's sit at the natural waist where you bend with no cutting in, and lots of room through the tummy and hips for fluctuations and movement. I also love because of the higher waist the pockets are deeper, so no chance of anything, such as your phone, falling out while bending.

I usually don't write reviews but this one is for anyone who is trying to decide on the right size! I'm normally a 26/ 27 size waist (US), depending on the time of the month. I buy size 0, 2, or 4 depending on the brand and the stretchiness. In Suk, I'm a size 10! I'm so glad I purchased the larger size. These shorts are perfect for work - I work in aviation and spend a lot of time outside on a hot asphalt ramp. I've also been wearing them nonstop on my time off for house projects. Super comfy, roomy and the adjustable waist is so awesome for skinny and bloated days. For reference I'm 5'4" and 130 lbs. I'm buying these in the all the colors!
These shorts are amazing! I ordered two pairs, and while they are both a size 12, these are just a touch more snug on my body. This has made me a bit ore conscious about the potential variation in the same size across garments. That said, they aren't small enough that I can't enjoy them! I wear them for everyday as well as to my barista job, and they take everything like a champ! I love the extra back pocket along with the hammer holster--they're essential while on the job for holding my Sharpies and sliding our table numbers into while doing the bussing rounds. The color is so rich--I'm absolutely obsessed!!!
Finally getting around to investing in another pair of these because I wear them literally every day at work! I am a flightline technician at an airport, and despite working outside and spilling jet fuel on them throughout each day, they hold up perfectly. The easy synch waist allows them to stay in place no matter what trinkets I have in the pockets (from my leatherman to my lipgloss) and the wide legs allow so much easy movement when I’m climbing on top of planes!! Plus they look so cute! Can’t recommend enough.
It's so rough finding a pair of women's shorts that actually have some length to them and don't cut off your leg circulation! These shorts are the perfect length, and the adjustable straps in the waistband mean you don't have that horrible gapping at the back. They're overall the perfect short

Ordered the same size I always do and these shorts in burgundy are just a touch too tight. Wondering if that means I should start moving up a size? I’m not super confident thats the answer since all my other pairs in size 12 fit me perfectly. Perhaps this particular pair was just a fluke. The color is amazing, and I’m gonna do my best to fit into these.

Great shorts! They arrived about two weeks ago and I’ve been wearing them regularly for work. Great for the summer heat without being too short or tight so I feel comfortable wearing them in a work environment. I work a lot with kids and they are great for running around and being active.

I love love love these shorts! The quality does not disappoint! However, FYI Australian sizes are very different from US sizing. Im usually a size 6 in US sizes and I had to exchange my SÜK shorts for a size 12 for them to fit! Once I got them though, Ive loved wearing them!
As a girl with a bigger stomach, I usually struggle with finding shorts that cut the shape I want with a bigger thigh area. These shorts are PERFECT. Love the shape, the color, and pockets, and most of all the adjustable waistband for comfort. The material is sturdy and love that it’s 100% cotton so I know they will last.
I could quite literally spend all day in these shorts. The adjustable waist is a game changer - I’d recommend a size 12 for anyone in between sizes like me (12-14). When standing, they’re quite roomy around the thighs but I got over that pretty quickly as they’re so comfy to sit in.
The drill material has a beautiful feel as promised. Love the design and colours. Have people asking where I bought them from at work

So soft and comfy. My first SUK purchase, but won't be my last. Also: I was nervous about shopping in store. Great shorts! I bought one in size 14 and one in size 12 and would say I am unfortunately exactly in between those two sizes. Size 12 is a bit tight at the waist but I am hoping it'll give a little bit with wear. Size 14 is comfy but a bit loose in the front. Overall great shorts with lots of pockets.
