Our Fabric
We make all our classic styles from a heavy duty 310 gsm 100% Fairtrade cotton drill, with a lightly brushed finished. This means it’s heavy duty, breathable and soft to the touch.
As this is natural material, this fabric does have its limitations: like most 100% cottons, with constant wear, tear and laundering, the cotton can weaken over time. So whilst our styles are designed for long term, day to day use, if you are kneeling on abrasive surfaces regularly, we suggest investing in some knee pads to avoid rips and holes.
Model Wears
Nish wears a size 6.
Kaite wears a size 10.
Simone wears a size 24.
We’ve designed this guide to make choosing your size as simple and accurate as possible, based on both our measurements and real customer fittings.
Our sizing follows Australian numerical sizing. As there’s no universal standard across brands, your size may vary elsewhere. This guide is the best way to find your fit in SÜK.
Find Your Size
1. Measure your body
Bust – measure around the fullest part of your chest. Keep the tape measure firm and straight, wrap it under your arms and across your shoulder blades.
Waist – measure around your natural waistline, the narrowest part of your torso that sits above your hips, where you would like the waistline of your new gear to sit.
Hips - measure the fullest part of your hips and bum.
2. Use your largest measurement
Match your measurements to the chart below using your largest measurement (this is usually your hips).
This ensures the garment fits comfortably across your body.
3. Consider how you like your fit & adjust for your body
Prefer a firm fit? You can size down
Prefer a relaxed fit? Size Up
Between sizes? Most customers choose the larger size for comfort and the ability to cinch the waist using the adjusters
Important: Where you wear your waistband
All our styles are designed to sit high on the waist (except our Mid-Rise Cargo Pants).
Wear them high-waisted → stay true to size or size down
Wear them mid or low rise → consider sizing up or measure where you would like them to sit and compare this measurement to the waist measurement in the chart
All our garments have waist adjusters, allowing the waist to be brought in by up to 10cm.
Real Fit Insights
From our in-store fittings and customer feedback:
Looking for a firm fit? You can size down in our Cotton Drill. This is because the fabric will relax with wear
In-between sizes? Most customers size up when between sizes for comfort, and the waist can be cinched in for a great fit.
Your height and torso length matter: taller customers may prefer more room through the rise and size up

Body Length for Suits (Short vs Long)
Some suits are available in short body and long body options. This refers to your torso length, not your height or inseam length.
If you usually get a wedgie in a jumpsuit, get the LONG BODY
Never had this issue before, get the SHORT BODY
Generally, if you are taller than 180cm, we recommend the Brumby or Roper suits with adjustable straps for extra torso length, and double-check the inseam length will work for you.
The SÜK team says: “Our staff like to size down from their pants sizing for a snug fit in our Brumby, Lagoon and Yard suits. Our Roper and Ringer suits are already fitted and true to size”
Garment Measurements
We provide individual garment measurements on every single one of our items! If you're someone who loves that extra detail, please have a read on the specific garment page. We also try to display the size each model is wearing and their measurements to help you.
These measurements are taken from the flattened physical garment, and then doubled to achieve an accurate measurement. Each chart is specific to each individual style. There is a variation of 1-2cm per garment, as our styles are prewashed and pre-shrunk before we send them to you.
You can use the garment measurements and measure an existing comfy item of clothing and compare it to our chart.
Fabric Notes
Drill: Durable and classic. We recommend an initial firm fit, as our cotton relaxes with wear. It’s similar to true denim, where the fibres soften the more you wear it. Washing will help bring it back to its original firmness.
Denim: Our denim offers the most reliable, true-to-size fit. It has a natural give that conforms to your body over time while maintaining its shape. If you are buying Denim, order your standard size.
Canvas: Built for heavy-duty protection, our Canvas is a thick, highly rigid material with zero stretch. It requires a break-in period. Fit Tip: If you need more room for bending and moving, or if you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up.
Ripstop: Lightweight but incredibly tough, Ripstop is a zero-stretch fabric. Because it does not yield around the hips or waist, we strongly recommend sizing up if you are between sizes or prefer a looser, more comfortable fit for active work.
Measuring Tips
Measure in your underwear where possible Keep the tape firm but not tight Ensure the tape sits flat
Style Note
All our pants are designed to be worn higher on your waist, no plumbers’ crack here. Wearing them lower on your hips may change how the size feels. Remember, the waist is adjustable on all our garments.

This colour and fabric are amazing! Soft but durable, and is “breaking in” nicely. I knew ordering a suit would be problematic for me as I had to order my hip size which leaves the top half quite HUGE 🤭, but there are lots of seams, so I’m going to tailor it in. I have a long torso and found the length ✨just✨ long enough trying to keep the waist adjusters at my natural waist—so the crotch depth could have been a smidge deeper! But I love how it looks and feels made for a woman. 127 lbs, hips 39”, bust 32” usually wear a US 4. Probably going to order some pants as well!!
I’m 5’4” with 36” bust, 30” waist, and 41” hips (I flow between 140-145lbs) and the size 10 fits me perfectly. It’s super flattering and has been really comfortable to do farm chores in. Everyone who’s seen me wear them has asked me for the brand because they want a pair too!
As for ordering… I originally ordered the 8 but it was too tight. I wish more folks gave their measurements and size that fits them because I find that so helpful! (SÜK maybe you can encourage more folks to leave those kind of details in their reviews?!) Especially because the return process was not the simplest I’ve experienced for sure. It actually was kind of confusing because they really try to get you to exchange vs return. Plus you have to pay for returns which is a real bummer. All that said, these feel like great quality and now that I feel like I know my size, I plan to order more in the future. The material isn’t as rugged as my husband’s Carhartt work pants which I was kind of hoping for, but I hope they hold up for a good long time.
Such a surprise how well it fits. The top is a bit big, but the bottom fits perfectly. No riding up like you normally get from overalls. The colour is great too. I would definitely get another pair!
I'm an organic gardener from the Sunshine coast. I saw Hannah Maloney of Gardening Australia wearing an enviable overall, and searched until I found it : the Roper suit. Perfect for a Queensland winter's morning in the garden. Easy to step into, keeps other clothes clean underneath. Dark colour doesn't show the dirt.
i'm hoping the short Brumby suit will be similar for the summer.
I often stay in pajamas all day if I’m working at home. Well the day my roper suit (hunter green) came I pulled it on over my flowered PJs to see how it fit. I looked cute like a garden gnome and felt relaxed and happy like I was wearing pjs all day because I WAS! Why get dressed at all I’ll just pull these on in the morning and off at night. 10000 stars.
Should I get a pink one? I like that the fabric is lighter weight than expected. Size 16 5 ft 4 normally size L perfect fit.
Love these! I bought them for working in the garden, however because they are such a great fit I am looking at purchasing them in other colours for everyday wear 🩷
Today: Now that I’m actually wearing my roper suit after it’s been washed, it’s fitting better and better. Almost like I needed to break it in like a shoe. The extra fabric in the back no longer bothers me, it fits great, looks great, but do wish it had a tapered pant leg. That’s my only suggestion!
Yesterday:
It fits my body kind of oddly. Fine in the hips and took some adjusting of the straps for the torso length. However there’s quite a lot of extra fabric in the low back area, like really a lot. So it fits well in some areas and not in others. I like the design And the material. I don’t have a particularly long torso (I’m 5’5” size 16) and I needed the straps almost full length. I like them though, and plan to take in that gathered fabric in the low back. So not perfect, but they’re still great. Longer torso, less low back fabric, and they’d be way better.
I got this in a size 10. I'm usually a 12 in the waist and a 10 in the legs and upper body so I'm funny sizing. It's of course a bit tight in the waist as I sized down but it does up well! The quality feels really nice.
I'm 5"8 with a 87cm waist for anyone wondering like I was.
I'm so excited to wear this is work and see how it holds up.
I love it. I normally wear a US size 12, but I'm thick and juicy, especially in the thighs and need a little extra room for the junk in the trunk. The adjustable straps still give me a waist and the top fits perfectly. I wear these in the garden, out doing light chores, and generally everywhere since I got them. The fabric feels good and sturdy for the things I do, and has held up through the wash. I'm 5'2, and the legs were a little long, but the hem folded up inside holds up without having to hem. I may hem them up at some point but, I think I've found my daily uniform. I'll be looking at getting another!
Bought a size up for my short curvy body so I can wear a jumper underneath. It’s adjustable everywhere and only slightly long at the heels. Have worn it in the garden, to clean the chicken shed, on a long bush walk and to the pub - on the same day. I’m totally in love.
So Comfortable, perfect fit the leg length is awesome not too short or long, cotton drill is dreamy soft and the overalls feel durable. I wore these on a 40 degree day and still felt so cool. True to fit and so many peeps tell me they look so good.
I'm obsessed with the worksuits! I now want all the short versions. I'm an art courier and go back and forth from art galleries, lumber yard and the work shop. This is perfect! I look professional and it's durable. I love all the pockets!
Fit is perfect, i found the brumby suit a bit loose in the same size but this is a bit more true to size. If your thighs rub the fabric does pill somewhat, but otherwise no complaints.
I can do a full squat easily but the pleats still make it look cute and professional (I wear this to my corporate job sometimes). Very comfy, big pockets, highly reccomend.
I’m size 6-8 and it fit me perfectly!! I love the cross back and pockets. It’s so practical for gardening and looks so cool and sexy too! I love how it pulls me in at the waist and the length was perfect for me (I’m 5’2)
Absolutely obsessed with this outfit. One for life. So glad i got it!!!
I've thought about buying from your brand for years and not keen on buying pants/ shorts online... but i finally did it and absolutely love them. The fit could not be better, comfy and flattering. Received lots of compliments... not usual for work wear!
A great brand for all women regardless of size. This is one of the key drivers of why I purchase this brand. Having been a woman who has been a size 24 to now a size 8-10 I love that this brand caters for all sizes. Great job!
Great fit with good strong fabric.
Very comfortable to wear but can be quite warm if working strenuously. Will definitely look into buying some short options as I’m so impressed.
I am a costume designer and I need my pockets! This suit can be classy while also functional for doing fittings where you have to get up on your toes to work on someone taller than you or down on the floor to pin up a hem.
Very good quality, thoughtfully made. The green colour is very heritage feeling. I got the size 14, a tiny bit snug around my waist. And of course I will be taking them up / rolling them up in the legs. But I am a shorty, so this is the norm for me. I can’t wait to wear them to work. I am a teacher aide in Prep, they’re going to be excellent for building forts, art, crafts, science experiments and being on duty in all kinds of weather.
Absolutely stunning!! I have gotten so many compliments on my roper suit! It is super comfortable and love the customization of the waist and shoulder straps! I did originally order the 18 and it was a tad small but the 20 fit perfectly! I need it in every color
I absolutely love my roper suit. I originally ordered a size 18 but ended up having to exchange for a 20. But that is no big deal :) the size 20 fit wonderfully and I've gotten so many compliments while wearing it out! For size reference I am 5'7" and about 250 lbs and am quite curvy. I absolutely love the waist sinching part because my waist is quite smaller than the rest of me and I can still look curvy in overalls and I don't look like I am wearing a sack. Also really love the adjustments on the shoulders because I am quite large breasted. Overall adjustments that you are able to achieve on the roper suit is 10 out of 10 for me. I need every color
Oh my GOD I will never be able to wear other brands again. The durability and comfort of SUK Workwear is second to none. The shorts especially are perfect because they allow me to move freely without restriction - something I’ve noticed other brands tend to struggle with, especially for women’s bodies. I love being able to adjust my waist band at different points of my cycle (or after a huge meal!). I’ve also worn and washed all my items several times now and you would have no idea. No colour fading, no shrinkage, nothing. You’ve got me hook, line, and sinker! SUK Workwear is the GOAT!
I bought this as a closet staple that I can use for work around the house, camping trips, or just hanging around! I am 5'6", 120-125 lbs, typically wears a size US 4. I initially ordered a 4, not realizing the sizing is different than US and it was too small. But the exchange process was easy and I ended up with a size 8 and it fits great! Easy to adjust the straps and pull tight for a snatched waist. Im happy the material is heavy duty, high quality and I'm expecting it to last!
This is so suprisingly snatched I love it. It’s slightly smaller than the other item I got in the same size but I would still say true to size because you wouldn’t want this to be baggy!
Fits perfectly every except it’s tight in the middle for me and I love it.
I am an artist so wanted an outfit that’s durable for my many creations and okay to get paint all over to eventually turn into its own artwork.
Love this suit so much! Was a standout at the music festival and having pockets meant I didn't need to bring a bag. Excellent materials, fits great on the hips. I use it for work, hobbies, fun and pretty much as often as I can.
These have been a blast.
I get at least one compliment per wear of these overalls. I have recently recovered from abdominal surgery, having the pressure off my mid section was so comforting and nice to have the waist adjusters for when my body had settled down. These get an absolute beating at work (horticulture/ young children/ gardening and pets). They still look great even after many washes and a lot of dirt. I’m rough with my work clothes and these are the best pair of overalls I’ve ever owned. Flattering and practical.
