Our Fabric
We make all our classic styles from a heavy duty 310 gsm 100% Fairtrade cotton drill, with a lightly brushed finished. This means it’s heavy duty, breathable and soft to the touch.
As this is natural material, this fabric does have its limitations: like most 100% cottons, with constant wear, tear and laundering, the cotton can weaken over time. So whilst our styles are designed for long term, day to day use, if you are kneeling on abrasive surfaces regularly, we suggest investing in some knee pads to avoid rips and holes.
We’ve designed this guide to make choosing your size as simple and accurate as possible, based on both our measurements and real customer fittings.
Our sizing follows Australian numerical sizing. As there’s no universal standard across brands, your size may vary elsewhere. This guide is the best way to find your fit in SÜK.
Find Your Size
1. Measure your body
Bust – measure around the fullest part of your chest. Keep the tape measure firm and straight, wrap it under your arms and across your shoulder blades.
Waist – measure around your natural waistline, the narrowest part of your torso that sits above your hips, where you would like the waistline of your new gear to sit.
Hips - measure the fullest part of your hips and bum.
2. Use your largest measurement
Match your measurements to the chart below using your largest measurement (this is usually your hips).
This ensures the garment fits comfortably across your body.
3. Consider how you like your fit & adjust for your body
Prefer a firm fit? You can size down
Prefer a relaxed fit? Size Up
Between sizes? Most customers choose the larger size for comfort and the ability to cinch the waist using the adjusters
Important: Where you wear your waistband
All our styles are designed to sit high on the waist (except our Mid-Rise Cargo Pants).
Wear them high-waisted → stay true to size or size down
Wear them mid or low rise → consider sizing up or measure where you would like them to sit and compare this measurement to the waist measurement in the chart
All our garments have waist adjusters, allowing the waist to be brought in by up to 10cm.
Real Fit Insights
From our in-store fittings and customer feedback:
Looking for a firm fit? You can size down in our Cotton Drill. This is because the fabric will relax with wear
In-between sizes? Most customers size up when between sizes for comfort, and the waist can be cinched in for a great fit.
Your height and torso length matter: taller customers may prefer more room through the rise and size up

Body Length for Suits (Short vs Long)
Some suits are available in short body and long body options. This refers to your torso length, not your height or inseam length.
If you usually get a wedgie in a jumpsuit, get the LONG BODY
Never had this issue before, get the SHORT BODY
Generally, if you are taller than 180cm, we recommend the Brumby or Roper suits with adjustable straps for extra torso length, and double-check the inseam length will work for you.
The SÜK team says: “Our staff like to size down from their pants sizing for a snug fit in our Brumby, Lagoon and Yard suits. Our Roper and Ringer suits are already fitted and true to size”
Garment Measurements
We provide individual garment measurements on every single one of our items! If you're someone who loves that extra detail, please have a read on the specific garment page. We also try to display the size each model is wearing and their measurements to help you.
These measurements are taken from the flattened physical garment, and then doubled to achieve an accurate measurement. Each chart is specific to each individual style. There is a variation of 1-2cm per garment, as our styles are prewashed and pre-shrunk before we send them to you.
You can use the garment measurements and measure an existing comfy item of clothing and compare it to our chart.
Fabric Notes
Drill: Durable and classic. We recommend an initial firm fit, as our cotton relaxes with wear. It’s similar to true denim, where the fibres soften the more you wear it. Washing will help bring it back to its original firmness.
Denim: Our denim offers the most reliable, true-to-size fit. It has a natural give that conforms to your body over time while maintaining its shape. If you are buying Denim, order your standard size.
Canvas: Built for heavy-duty protection, our Canvas is a thick, highly rigid material with zero stretch. It requires a break-in period. Fit Tip: If you need more room for bending and moving, or if you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up.
Ripstop: Lightweight but incredibly tough, Ripstop is a zero-stretch fabric. Because it does not yield around the hips or waist, we strongly recommend sizing up if you are between sizes or prefer a looser, more comfortable fit for active work.
Measuring Tips
Measure in your underwear where possible Keep the tape firm but not tight Ensure the tape sits flat
Style Note
All our pants are designed to be worn higher on your waist, no plumbers’ crack here. Wearing them lower on your hips may change how the size feels. Remember, the waist is adjustable on all our garments.

Love it!! I did a lot of research and thought the Suk Lagoon suit was right for my needs. I am 5' 10' and settled on a 14. The 12 also fit but no room for the shrinkage of cotton, so the 14 is a little bit big. I added some embroidery to break up the black.
Love all of my SUK gear (and I have a lot now). The lagoon suits are my absolute favourites! They are comfy, easy to wear and look great. I always get compliments when I wear them. This is my second suit in the hunter colour because I lost weight but still wanted to wear it (now to find a home for the other one).

I got a size up and probably should have gotten two sizes down. It has great pockets and the fabric is pretty comfortable. I look forward to wearing to work .
I have it in red and it's the best wardrobe staple I own. I keep an eye out on the website all the time looking for it to come out in bright colours again, as the suit is worn weekly, and despite the fantastic fabric I need more!
Bring back the red!
The quality of fabric is amazing, for that stylish workwear vibe. LOVE this boiler suit and will definitely be wearing it to death. I'm a size 12 but purchased a 14 for bust and height, it's perfect! Love the synching you can do too
The only reason I went up to 18 was because the size 16 was tight lengthwise in the midsection. It fit so well, but I needed room to bend. The 18 is a little roomy on the sides and legs, and the length of the midsection could still be better, but after one wear it’s fitting better. All that said, I love it! I know the recommendation is to go long if that is the issue, but I am only 5’1. I can’t tell that the fit will only get better. To be fair, I think the only reason I had an issue at all is because of my backside. 🙂 Highly recommend
I recommend measuring yourself and following the size guide. I am 5'10 and about 145 lbs and got a size large and it is PERFECT. The material is such good quality and soft. The fit is immaculate. I get so many compliments every time I wear it. It is an investment that will stay in your wardrobe for YEARS.
This is so cute and well made I love ❤️ I got the short body because I’m 5’ 1” and thought it would be a better fit. It’s not cutting but very snug in the seat which makes it a little challenging to get on and off. I haven’t worn it yet, just tried it on, so it might loosen with wear.
Anyway it looks so good and I feel amazing in it.
My best SUK purchase yet. The construction pants are wonderful but look a little frumpy on me. I find the Lagoon Suit to be really flattering while also so practical for my work and life on the farm. So comfortable, fits like a glove and incredibly well made from what I can tell. IN LOVE. Please, please make more colors: jewel tones etc. THANK YOU! I can't wait to have more.
My measurements for reference: 5 ft 8"/150 lb, 36 chest, 29 waist, 40 hip
Perfect fit! Color as advertised. It's fitted but not too tight (belt cinched all the way, so room to expand from there), and the legs are long enough to hit the back of my heel, just above the floor. This one is destined for paint, but I might need another just to wear around! So cute, comfy and functional!
This is a boiler suit, essentially, but because of how it fits and especially the very cool front zip, I have been told how chic it is on more than one occasion. Very good for work days when you need to get things done and want to look the part.
Absolutely love my Lagoon suit - wear it on the job, in the garden, creative projects and just around the house. Looks professional and I feel great wearing it, like I could tackle any job and still relax on the couch. Gets more comfortable the more you wear it as the fabric adjusts to your body. For reference I am fairly short (155cm) - rolled up the sleeves and pants and it’s fine. 75kgsish (weight fluctuates alot) with large hips/bum and bust. Got the size 12 and there’s still enough room to move around comfortably. Does feel slightly bigger than standard sizes as I usually wear large 12/14/16 pants (depending on the store) and 12/10 tops but wanted a tighter fit for this one and couldn’t be happier with the cut and waist adjustment in the back (for the bloaty days). Get it, you won’t regret it! The colour is a bold choice and quite bright but I’ve got many compliments every time I am out. Will be purchasing other styles and colours.
It’s honestly the most perfect thing for my life. I am an art conservationist and artist myself. So it fits perfect to my rough and tumble, artsy, stylish and professional life. Literally wear it on the job, presenting my work to galleries, and out to the bar. I get compliments constantly for how perfectly it fits me and the quality of how it’s made.
Thank you for making my wardrobe so easy and comfortable and stylish at once!
Seriously most badass company I’ve come across so far! Will be collecting pieces forever.
5 foot gal @ 110lbs, finally I find a jumpsuit thst fits me perfrctly. Well constructed and comfortable, ample room for my legs, hips to move around. I’m sold and definitely buying from this brand again (once they restock their size 4s)!
I was looking for a jumper to wear while working on murals for clients that was utilitarian/functional while also flattery. It not only fits my frame, but helps boost my professionalism but looking more put together. 10/10 would recommend
I work in the trades and have tried many many coveralls.
SUK is the very best! Built for women who work is in every detail! They also receive daily compliments, so they also have style. I have bought two pairs and will be buying more!
Put this suit on and feel great. It fits perfectly, I’m 165cm tall and 64kg. It’s a bit long in the leg so I will need to take the hem up but that’s ok. The length of the body makes it comfortable to sit in and there is a bit of extra room in the top for arm movement. There would probably be room for a thin long sleeve top underneath. I really love this green colour. I also like the cargo pants and this suit has the same roomy leg design which is comfortable now the weather is warmer. Great size pockets especially the one with the zip. Looks really stylish and could be worn dressed up to dinner or a function.
Love Love Love this suit! I may have to get another or try some pants. I work as a Chef and thought something like this would be useful. I already have a Tilit Chefs Jumpsuit. The SUK suit is leaps and bounds (literally and figuratively) better! The material and fixtures are top quality and very durable. The cut is flattering while also incredibly comfortable and able to keep up. Felt like a super hero my first shift testing it out. Highly recommend.
I didn’t think it was possible to love a garment more than my black lagoon suit….until my geeen one got here!! These are my entire personality now and I love them.
