Gunnee Shorts - Blue Tongue

Named after our founders’ favourite childhood cattle station. These shorts offer a particular freedom and playfulness that perhaps a lot of us have left behind in adult years.

With a wide trouser opening for a full range of movement, the fit reminded her of playing in greasy sheep yards with her siblings, riding in Ute trays, sharing milo and mattresses with the work dogs and working cattle three times your size. These shorts are a nod to the bravery and freedom of the country kids: may we never grow up.

Our Fabric

We make all our classic styles from a heavy duty 310 gsm 100% Fairtrade cotton drill, with a lightly brushed finished. This means it’s heavy duty, breathable and soft to the touch.

As this is natural material, this fabric does have its limitations: like most 100% cottons, with constant wear, tear and laundering, the cotton can weaken over time. So whilst our styles are designed for long term, day to day use, if you are kneeling on abrasive surfaces regularly, we suggest investing in some knee pads to avoid rips and holes.

The Gunnee Shorts run true to SÜK size, with a more relaxed fit.
